Babcock House

Photo of Babcock House

The Babcock House is undergoing a long awaited restoration. Downstairs rooms have been reworked to bring back the footprint on the original floor plan. New drywall has been installed and we anticipate that an eager volunteer will be applying the first coats of paint soon. There is still lots to be done— decorating and furnishing, etc. It all takes time and resources.

New Site Plan and Associated Work

A new site plan was drawn up by one of our Board members and approved by the Village Council. The Fire Barn Museum has been moved and a new concrete floor poured. The plan is for a future Annex to the Museum and additional storage for artifacts and supplies. We hope to add a walkway and plantings to add a village feel to the grounds.
